Birmingham City FC is planning to relocate from its historic home at St Andrew's to a new 62,000-seat stadium known as The Powerhouse, as part of an ambitious Sports Quarter development in East Birmingham. But what could happen to St Andrew's once the Blues have moved on? Birmingham City Council's draft Local Plan suggests the site could be retained as a sports stadium or redeveloped for residential and mixed-use purposes.
